American artist Thomas Halloran was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is a graduate of The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. He has shown in museums and galleries in New York, Boston, Atlanta, Dublin and London. Most known for his “Beethoven Death Mask Variations”. He now resides in Berlin where he is currently focusing on his latest series of paintings “The Nuclear Tombs” that confront our very existence.
Using materials including ash and marble dust as well as paint, he creates crusty, dripping surfaces that look like frescos crumbling after a flood.
